Welcome to Nallamittai Singapore!

It was the Diwali season of 2018 when the first chapter of Nalla Mittai began. The sweet and savoury aroma of murukku filled the air as a father-daughter duo cooked up millet snacks for the occasion. As they worked, an idea struck them: Why not open a shop and share the world of millets with everyone? And so, Nalla Mittai was born.

Nalla Mittai began its journey just like any other business, starting small. In a month's time, a small-scale manufacturing site was established in a residential area, a shop was rented out, and the endearing image of Nalla Mittai was carefully crafted. Despite facing various challenges along the way, big and small, we persevered in our mission to revive the importance of millets and promote how they can positively impact our lives.

Nalla Mittai was flourishing for a year, with a positive response from the local community. However, the COVID-19 pandemic hit our business like a meteor, causing unprecedented challenges. Nevertheless, we held onto the belief that every problem has a solution, and persevered through the difficult times to emerge stronger.

Now, Nalla Mittai has set its sights on global expansion, bringing the cuisine of India's sweet and savoury history to a wider audience with a focus on health. Their delicacies have begun to spread throughout Singapore, and they are determined to continue their journey of spreading the benefits of millets and transforming lives worldwide.
